MONSTERS AND CENTAURS.
NEW LANGUAGES OF FEMINISM (Anagrama, 2018)
It is an essay that starts from the idea that doubts and uncertainties are enriching and should not paralyze feminist demands.
The text reviews the interrelation of economic, cultural, labor and social reasons that places women at a disadvantage in the public and private spheres, and tries to analyze, from a critical perspective, the flood of information surrounding the demonstration and strike feminist of March 8, 2018, the movement #MeToo or the letter of the French intellectuals.
The essay ends with a defense of freedom of expression and an invitation to rescue culture and reading: an educated country is one that teaches its citizens to read.
The essay dissects feminism from multiple perspectives and seeks to bring order, stop (re) reflect, throw uncomfortable questions and signal ways to advance when the struggle for equality is going through such a combative and hopeful moment as it faces multiple traps and contradictions.
