The company Mediterranean Unique Experience has opened, this week, the reservation of places to enjoy the tourist route "Illustrious Women of Cartagena", which will be held on March 9 to mark the celebration of International Women's Day.
The tour aims to make known some of the most famous women in the port city.
This guided tour will have a special cost of 5 euros and the benefits will go entirely to the Association of United Women against MUM Abuse.
The tourist route "Illustrious Women of Cartagena", activity that takes place within the music festival organized by the City of Cartagena and the Department of Equality "+ Q Musas Fest", aims to promote equality through a tour that gives visibility and pays tribute to women who have been protagonists of important episodes in the history of Cartagena.
The route, designed by the official guide Ramona Escarabajal, consists of a tour through the streets of the city in which significant places in the lives of these famous women will be visited for which Cartagena occupied a key place in their biographies.
Cartageneras of birth or adoption as Carmen Conde, Maria Dolores Bas, Santa Florentina, Sister Francisca Armendariz, Maria Tomasa Antera or "Charito", anecdotal character and very popular in the last century in the port city will be the protagonists of this itinerary.
There will also be room for him in antiquity such as Himilce, wife of Anibal ibra, and Cornelia, powerful wife of Scipio "the African" who stood out as one of the intellectuals of the time despite being a woman.
The route will not forget the Virgin of Charity and the legend of how she was saved from the waters in a great storm upon her arrival in Cartagena.
The approximate duration of the route "Illustrious Women of Cartagena" will be 3 hours and will begin at 10:30 am in Plaza de Jaime Bosch.
The festival "+ Q Musas Fest" will be held in the courtyard of the Faculty of Business Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena on March 9, from 21: 30h, and will feature the performances of La Bien Querida , Loka Flores and Fantabulosa Dj.
The money raised from the sale of tickets to the event will be donated, in the same way, to the Association of United Women against MUM Abuse.
