Six thousand new flowers decorate the flower beds of the Plaza del Rey in Cartagena, according to a reform project carried out by the new company awarded the maintenance of gardens, under the guidelines of the Park and Garden Service of the Department of Services Public, who directs, Juan Pedro Torralba.
The action consisted in the reconditioning of the parterre of the children's playground, where 4,500 kalanchoe-type flowers combined with 1,500 euphorbias, better known as Christ's pine, were planted in red, orange, yellow and white.
The plant species that have been used in the planter need a lower water cost than previously and fit perfectly with the water shortage in which we find ourselves.
With this action has sought to homogenize the area, within the project that also aims to put value and return to give life to some unique areas of the city center, neighborhoods and councils.
For its design, the new contractor has used a computer program that allowed to see in advance the results of the plantations and to better profile their configuration.
