From 27 to 31 March, the streets and squares of Cartagena will be filled with shows and activities, in a program integrated by activities around theater and dance aimed at all audiences on the occasion of World Theater Day.
The Councilor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, David Martinez, presented on Monday, March 4, the commemorative events that recall this anniversary, which has been held in Cartagena since 2016. The acts of celebration are organized by the City of Cartagena, the Platform of Performing Arts of Cartagena and District and the Municipal School of Theater of Cartagena.
On behalf of the Municipal Theater School of Cartagena, its director, Alfredo Ávila, was present.
On the part of the PAECC, its president, Lito Campillo, has appeared.
The Councilor for Culture of Cartagena, David Martinez, said that the objective of these days is to "promote theater in all its forms, to make it go out and that theater entities promote their work, making citizens aware of the great value that it has ".
For its part, the president of the Performing Arts Platform of Cartagena and Region, Lito Campillo, has also presented the new corporate image of the PAECC, which has been designed by Juan Fajardo.
Campillo has encouraged Cartagena to attend the events of World Theater Day.
As for the director of the Municipal Theater School of Cartagena, Alfredo Ávila, he wanted to thank the institutional support for the events to celebrate World Theater Day.
Ávila hopes that the programmed activities "serve to vindicate the role in society that theater and the performing arts have to have".
On Wednesday, March 27 at 11 am at the Roman Theater in Cartagena, actor Enrique Martinez, known for his role in the television series 'Los Hombres de Paco', among other productions, will read the international manifesto of World Theater Day .

That same day at 6:00 pm, in Plaza del Icue, Plaza San Sebastián and Plaza de Castellini, groups of students of the Municipal Theater School will read their own manifestos on the occasion of this day.
Also on Wednesday, March 27, at 7:00 pm, in the Plaza de San Francisco, the students of the Municipal School of Theater will read the International Manifesto of World Theater Day.
Later, at 7:30 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Roman Theater of Cartagena, there will be a round table organized by the Union of Actors of the Region of Murcia.
In it will be present: Manuel de Reyes, president of the UARM, Encarna Illán, vice president of the Union of Actors Region of Murcia, the actor Enrique Martinez and the president of the Performing Arts Platform of Cartagena and District, Lito Campillo.
After the round table, there will be a dramatization of theatrical scenes.
On Thursday, March 28, at 10:30 am in the Press Room of the Consistorial Palace, will be presented the license of the Performing Arts Platform of Cartagena and Region (PAECC).
In addition an honorary one will be delivered to the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and another to the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez.
On the same day at 6 pm, at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, a Living Museum of the Theater will take place.
In different spaces of the enclosure, scenes and monologues will be made by students of the Municipal School of Theater.
These performances will serve as an act prior to the round table on theater schools that will host El Luzzy on Thursday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m.
The following schools will participate: Alquibla Teatro de Murcia, Teatro Guerra de Lorca, Alhama de Murcia School, Cox School (Alicante) and the Municipal School of Cartagena.
At the end of the colloquium, each school will represent a brief theatrical scene.
On Friday, March 29, at 5:00 pm in the Auditorium of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, the Compañía Teatro del Desván interprets 'The Queen of the Seven Seas'.
Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
On Saturday, March 30, at 12 noon in the Plaza San Francisco, the Municipal Theater School of Cartagena offers a class open to the public to discover and learn about the theatrical games that this center offers.
At 12:30 hours at the Palacio de Molina, the Performing Arts Platform of Cartagena and Comarca organizes a round table.
The following will take part: Francisco Fernández, from the Teatro del Matadero group, the coordinator of UGTeatro Guillermo Guillén, and the president of the Performing Arts Platform of Cartagena and Lito Campillo.
The presentation of the colloquium will be the responsibility of the Federation of amateur theater groups of the Region of Murcia (FETEAMUR).
The Plaza de San Francisco enters the stage on Saturday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m., to host a gala of theater, dance and music, which will be presented by the Regional Radio announcer of Murcia Lola Martínez Piñero and the president of Platform of Performing Arts of Cartagena and District Lito Campillo.
For the tables of this Cartagena square, the Teatro del Desván will perform with 'Espera a Godot' and 'Figurantes' or the Ana López Dance School, with 'Alicia en el País de las Maravillas'.
The singer María Jesús Ruíz will perform 'Soñar Contigo' and 'O Mio Bambino Caro'.
The Apolo Theater School in El Algar will offer 'Retales de Teatro'.
The School of Dance and Movement Margarita Lover will offer 'Coppelia', 'Don Quixote', 'The Swan Lake' and 'Moments'.
The company Jaloque Teatro will perform the comedy 'Las Aventuras de Pedrito de Valdivia'.
Aladroque Teatro and the School of Dance Mamen Baños will offer the tragicomedy 'Ojalá'.
Diderot Teatro will represent the 'Strange' tragicomedy.
Pata finalize, on Sunday March 31 at 12 o'clock, Plaza San Francisco will host a sample of children, youth and adults students of the Municipal Theater School of Cartagena.
