The victory of the chirigota of Roquetas marks the end of the XVII edition of the Regional Contest of Chirigotas 'City of Cartagena', that was celebrated on Friday, March 1, in two passes, at 20 and 23:30 hours, in the El Batel Auditorium
The victory could be seen live streaming on the Youtube channel of the Cartagena City Council with the words of Radio Cartagena Cadena SER and was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the editors David Martínez, Juan Pedro Torralba , Manuel Mora, Mercedes García and Carmen Martín del Amor.
The Robinsons of the Island, Los Singuangos, Chirigota de Roquetas, Los Sangochaos and Las Chochonis were the finalists of this new edition that gave the triumph to the chirigota of Roquetas.
This group from Almería delighted the audience with their costumes based on the toy dolls 'cliks'.
Participants took to the stage disguised as a bullfighter, replenisher of supermecado, kebabs vendor, child of communion or sumo.
Thanks to these colorful costumes, they won the first prize of 2,400 euros.
The second place, of 1,550 euros, went to Las Chochonis, which were characterized as nursery teachers and girls.
The third ones were The Robinsons of the Island, who set up a nativity scene on the stage with birth included.
The prize for this group was 950 euros.
The Sangochaos and Los Singuangos, disguised as a team of installers of a telecommunications company and soccer referees respectively, obtained the fourth and fifth place in the final of the Regional Competition of Chirigotas.
The rooms obtained 500 euros while the fifth, 400 euros.
On the stage at dawn, he enjoyed the humor and music as a backdrop for current issues such as the Catalan independence movement, the Spanish territorial conflict or the problems surrounding the 'var' football.
