Nearly fifty non-profit associations will show their projects at the Plaza de Héroes de Cavite to help groups at risk of social exclusion, people with disabilities or sick people in the Comarca.
The San Antonio Catholic University Campus in Cartagena has organized for the second consecutive year the Volunteer Fair of the Comarca, which will bring together almost fifty non-profit associations from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 March at the Plaza de Heroes de Cavite
On this occasion, the fair will extend its duration with respect to last year, by having three days from a time of 11:00 to 14 hours and from 17 to 20:30 hours, and modify its location to a closer to the Palace Hall .
In addition, an area of ​​activities will be set up, where groups will be able to hold workshops, animations, presentations, ... and other specific initiatives that require more space than they have at the stand.
The fair is a further measure of support of the UCAM to contribute to the success of social action projects of groups working for children, the sick, families at risk of social exclusion, the elderly or people with disabilities .
Among the activities planned by the groups there will be a School of Back in charge of Physiotherapy students of the UCAM Cartagena who collaborate with the Alzheimer's Association, games of awareness with the Sustainable Development Objectives of the FADE Foundation, Trivial intercultural with Murcia Acoge, blood glucose measurements by Sodicar, an exhibition on Chernobyl promoted by the Association of Families Solidarity with the Belarusian People and a circuit of symptoms by the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
Other collectives such as Cáritas, Afibrocar, the Food Bank, the Hospitality of Lourdes, the Pastoral Care of Cartagena, the Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno Foundation, the Cofradía California, or the Telephone of Hope will be in this exhibition that aims to contribute to that the Cartagena society knows its great work, which is supported by the Catholic University from very different ways.
There will also be a booth of the municipal Volunteer Service.
In addition, the Spanish Association Against Cancer, the Charity Association 'San Vicente de Paul', Asteamur, ASIDO Cartagena, Astus, SOI, the Asilo Store Foundation of San Pedro, Mundi Masters, Proyecto Abraham and APICES, as well as APANDA will be present. , Radio Maria, the Asylum of Elders of the Hermanas de los Pobles or the Ambulance of Desire.
