The Local Government Board approved yesterday, Thursday 28 February, an allocation of more than 60,000 euros to improve several sports facilities including the pavilions of La Palma and El Albujón, as well as the toilets of the Cartagonova municipal stadium.
In the case of the pavilions of the deputations of La Palma and El Albujón, the investment amounts to 36,524.67 euros, which will be used to improve the lighting in both venues.
"These pavilions are used daily both by sport at school age, and by different teams of different sports," said the mayor of Sports, Manuel Mora.
Until now, the pavilions had insufficient lighting to house federated competitions but, with the new light installation, the power will be tripled and energy efficiency will be gained since all the luminaires will be LED.
