The Official Association of Industrial Engineers of the Region of Murcia (COIIRM) took advantage of its visit to the chemical complex that Repsol has in Cartagena to claim the importance of the profession in the development and start-up of industrial projects of any size and volume of investment , that take place in the parks and industrial estates of the regional geography.
A delegation from the collegiate organization, led by the dean, José Manuel Ruiz, toured the company's facilities and held a working meeting with the director of Repsol in Cartagena, Joaquín García-Estañ Salcedo, Industrial Engineer and member of COIIRM.
During the day, the importance of the Industrial Engineers was emphasized in order to carry out the start-up of large-scale investments, due to their professional attributes and high qualification for the management and direction of projects, as well as for their technical specialization.
Likewise, there was talk of different areas of collaboration between Repsol and COIIRM, such as training, and the First Industry Gala was presented, a new and regional event, which will recognize companies and colleges that have highlighted in its industrial activity.
The meeting was also attended by the vice-dean, Antonio David Baquero, along with the delegate of COIIRM in Cartagena, Javier Blanco, and the member of the Governing Board, José Luis Belmonte.
