Pupils of primary and children schools Mare Nostrum, Patronato Sacred Heart of Jesus, Four Saints, La Concepcion and Primitiva Lopez, accompanied by parents and teachers, today toured the center of the city with colorful costumes to celebrate the celebration of Carnival.
More than 1,000 children participated this Friday, March 1, in the school parade that started at 11 in the morning from Plaza Juan XXIII accompanied by the Councilor for Education, Mercedes García and the President of Carnival.
"This parade allows you to visualize perfectly the Carnival in the city with the little ones and to bet on the future of Carnival", declares the councilor.
From the Juan XXIII square, they have visited Santa Florentina street, Carrer del Carmen, San Roque, Jabonerías, Puertas de Murcia, Plaza de San Sebastián and, finally, Calle Mayor until Plaza del Ayuntamiento, with music and dances .
The celebration of Carnival celebrations for the little ones follows Sunday the 3rd with the Children's Carnival with a show, workshops and the costume contest that will take place in the Plaza Juan XXIII from 12 noon.
