The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the 'Plan against theft in homes', has developed the operation 'CHOZNO II', an investigation aimed at clarifying numerous robberies committed in homes of the Cartagena hamlet of Los Nietos, which It has resulted in the arrest of a young man as alleged perpetrator of at least 13 robberies.
The proceedings began at the end of last year, when the Benemérita was aware of several robberies with force committed in homes of Los Nietos-Cartagena, facts that had generated some social alarm.
The investigators found out that at the time of the robbery the real estate was uninhabited because it was mainly a holiday home.
The evidence obtained allowed to find out that there was a common pattern in the modus operandi used to access the houses, as well as geographical proximity between the homes assaulted.
In addition, the agents suspected of a known delinquent who, last year, was arrested by a dozen robberies in homes in the same area.
Once obtained the necessary evidence, during the last days the Civil Guard has located and arrested the suspect.
It is a male, Spanish, of 21 years and with a bulky criminal record for similar events.
It is clear from the investigation that the one arrested now used the knowledge he had of the population to move to the buildings without raising suspicion.
To enter inside did not hesitate to violate doors or windows and even climb to the terraces with expertise and agility.
The main objective of the thefts were household appliances and any easy to transport object that, later, sold on the black market.
The arrested and the proceedings ordered have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Cartagena (Murcia).
