The VII Hall of Manga and the Japanese Culture of Cartagena, 'Cartagena Remanga', which will be held on May 11 and 12, changes this year's location and moves to the Municipal Sports Pavilion Wssell de Guimbarda.
It is expected the attendance of about 10,000 people, who can participate in any of the 200 activities organized, including concerts, workshops, lectures, and a large area of ​​video games in which numerous tournaments will be organized.
The general director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones, attended today the presentation of the programming with the Councilor for Culture of Cartagena, David Martínez, and the director of the room, Antonio Álvarez.
The head of the ICA explained that 'Cartagena Remanga', along with 'Murcia Remanga', "are two of the main cultural events of the calendar and two important events that contribute to enhance cultural tourism in our region, because, for example , 30 percent of the attendees of this Salon del Manga de Cartagena arrive from outside the municipality, and many of them from outside the Region. "
It is, he added, "a complete cultural, leisure and educational proposal that is not only aimed at young audiences, since there will be activities for all types of audiences that will contribute to bringing together many aspects of Japanese culture related to their language, its gastronomy, its literature, the care of bonsai and, of course, the manga ".
In addition to the workshops, a dozen talks have been organized on the history of Japan, initiation to dubbing, illustration or video games;
Meetings with well-known youtubers and cosplayers, as well as concerts by the Korean singer Hyemin and the Japan Rock group.
The program of 'Cartagena Remanga' will be completed with activities related to dance (K-Pop, traditional Japanese dance, dance ...) and with the numerous tournaments and competitions that will take place in the wide area of ​​video games enabled in the lounge , where Japanese and oriental gastronomy will also be present and there will be a commercial area.
