On Friday, March 1 at 8:00 pm, the exhibition of the artist Belén Orta on 'Tensions in gender stereotypes: traditional roles' opens.
The exhibition will take place in the Tomás Rico Room and Víctor Beltrí of the Town Hall until Sunday, April 21.
The councilor for Equality and Culture, David Martínez, is expected to attend the inauguration.
In this exhibition, Belén Orta Núñez intends to generate a space of resistance that expands the borders of the emancipatory horizons of the patriarchal and mercantile ideological core. Through the presentation of a clearly decodable message through the investment of the protagonists of great works of the art history, Bethlehem generates with its creation, an ideological space that remains outside the normalized space.
According to the anthropologist, activist and member of the promoter group of Cartagena Piensa David Aviles Conesa, we are facing a look that Bethlehem channels to transfigure the historical heritage, taking stereotypes, stressing them until their dissolution and reconstructing them under the gaze and genius of a rebellious woman .
