The energy infrastructure company has begun to offer families in Cartagena an efficient and environmentally friendly solution, with a renewable product focused on self-consumption photovoltaic installations.
At the same time, the company continues with its activity of deployment of natural gas distribution networks in the municipality, where it will build more than 7,000 meters of pipelines in 2019.
Redexis is promoting photovoltaic solar energy in the Region of Murcia through a 'pilot project' that promotes self-consumption in Spanish households.
The company presented today at the City Council all the project that Redexis wants to develop in Cartagena.
The meeting was attended by the mayor of the municipality, Ana Belén Castejón, and by Redexis the director of the company in the Region of Murcia, Pedro Santos, and the director of Business Diversification, Miguel Mayrata.
Through this solution, the company offers families an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative, with a product of photovoltaic self-consumption that represents a saving of more than 40% in the household's electricity consumption and that gives it control over its energy production to make its consumption more economical.
In addition, the families that opt for this energy self-supply solution will be contributing to the care of the environment by eliminating carbon dioxide emissions, through a simple and agile installation that reduces the annual bill of electricity.
The objective of this project, which is in the 'pilot' phase, is to give access in very advantageous conditions to solar photovoltaic energy to more than 35,000 single-family homes in Cartagena, a city that can see its air quality and its environmental environment improved.
In addition, this more efficient solution will generate local employment in the municipality, since there will be companies in Cartagena for its development.
Photovoltaic solar energy is obtained from the direct transformation of solar energy into electrical energy through photovoltaic panels.
Redexis will be in charge of the recruitment, design, installation and maintenance work, as well as the administrative processing with public administrations and with the electric distributor and marketer.
The hiring process involves a personalized study that includes an exhaustive analysis of the energy needs of the client and their solar potential, taking into account different aspects: meteorological, geographic and consumption habits.
It also includes the economic model of the proposal, with the total amount and the resulting quota for a renting option.
In addition, the client is informed of their annual savings, both energy and economic, and several indicators of environmental awareness are offered.
The objective of this project is to complement the solar energy produced through photovoltaic panels located on the roof of Spanish homes, with electricity from the grid, to guarantee access to electricity 24 hours a day.
In this way, the client generates its own energy and can optimize its electricity consumption, taking into account that it would stop consuming energy from the grid during sunny hours, even when it is cloudy or it rains because the panels are still working.
In addition, you can choose storage systems for batteries, which allow you to consume this renewable energy at night.
Redexis, promoter of clean and efficient energy in the Region of Murcia
Redexis has significantly boosted the growth of gas in the Region of Murcia.
Specifically in Cartagena, the company continues with its activity of deployment of natural gas distribution networks in the municipality, where it will build more than 7 kilometers of pipelines in 2019. The networks and connections built in Cartagena in 2018 were more than 3.5 kilometers, with an investment of more than 850,000 euros.
The company emphasizes that in 2019 it will provide the El Algar deputation with piped gas, giving access to more than 2,000 homes, with an expected investment of 1 million euros.
In the same way, this year the supply of piped gas in La Palma and La Aparecida will be facilitated.
The gasification of the Los Camachos industrial estate is also planned, as well as the development of new networks in the Cabezo Beaza industrial estate.
In the Region of Murcia, Redexis continues with its expansion and investment plan.
In 2018, it began to supply natural gas in the municipalities of Abarán and Mazarrón, where it built a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant, and in the Murcia hamlet of Sangonera La Verde.
Also, last year began the construction of the necessary infrastructures for the commissioning of the residential area El Campillo (El Esparragal) and Los Alcázares.
