Cartagena and regional CEIS firefighters together with the helitranspired unit, Civil Guard, Local Police and health of the 061, participated in the early hours of the afternoon in the evacuation of a 70-year-old hiker who had fractured his ankle while walking in the Sierra of Cabezo de la Fuente in Los Belones.
The accident notice occurred at 2:15 p.m.
Firefighters of the Firefighting, Salvage and Civil Protection Service of the City of Cartagena, after accessing the area where the wounded man was, requested help from the helitransport unit of the General Directorate of Public Safety of the Region of Murcia with the firefighters rescuers of the regional Fire and Rescue Consortium, which proceeded to evacuate the wounded hiker through the air.
