The CEIP Gabriela Mistral opens Thursday school cafeteria, a service that had been demanding parents for a long time and that has culminated with the qualification of a space, fruit of the action that has been carried out from the Autonomous Community, which is the competent, with the support of the City of Cartagena.
The act of inauguration of the new school canteen has had the assistance of the councilors of Education, Mercedes Garcia, and Culture, David Martinez, in addition to the Minister of Education, Adela Martinez Cachá.
All of them have shared with the boys and girls the first service of this canteen to which all the students will be able to attend if their parents wish, with the objective of the best work conciliation of these.
With regard to municipal collaboration, Mercedes Garcia noted that, 'from the Department of Education, we have contributed to the adaptation of the toilets for its exclusive use in the dining room, which was indispensable, undertaking the necessary works for it'.
The Gabriel Mistral educational center is the first one that is authorized to have a school cafeteria during the present course, but it will not be the last one.
It will be followed by Vicente Ros and Feliciano Sánchez, where the Department is already carrying out the adaptation works of the bathrooms.
