The Pensioner's Home of La Aljorra already has improvements in its facilities.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Social Services, Mercedes García, visited the site on Thursday, the 21st, to check their new status as well as the improvements that have been made in recent months.
The elders have received them with a dance to which the mayor has joined, followed by a visit to the new facilities, among which the evacuation staircase that has been installed with what was invested during the past year, as well as numerous subsidies for maintenance and socio-cultural activities, but also for the acquisition of an air conditioning device.
The mayor has referred to the Senior Club of La Aljorra as "very active, the best in terms of number and quality of their performances."
It is not the first time that the mayor of the city visits this group, since she has been able to share with them their Healthy Breakfasts.
The president of the Home of the Pensioner of La Aljorra, Paco Cavas, has been "very grateful with the improvements we have made in the club and with the mayor."
