The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, received on Thursday February 21 at the Consistorial Palace the new Admiral of Maritime Action, Juan Luis Sobrino Pérez-Crespo, at the moment interim in the absence of official appointment.
After his meeting with the first mayor of the city, Perez-Crespo has confirmed that on Friday, February 22, the Furor Ship of the Navy is incorporated into the base of the Maritime Action Force installed in Cartagena.
The current Vice Admiral and Admiral of Maritime Action interim, Juan Luis Sobrino Pérez-Crespo, has assured that the mayor "has my help and help while I am here in Cartagena."
Regarding the incorporation of the Furor Ship, Pérez-Crespo pointed out that it is the sixth ship of the series that is installed in the city.
Last September the Buque Audaz joined the base of the Maritime Action Force of Cartagena.
On the Furor Ship, the Admiral of Interim Maritime Action assures that "it is the most modern of the Navy and comes to reinforce the presence of the Maritime Action Force to Cartagena".
Juan Luisa Sobrino Pérez-Crespo adds that it is a versatile and oceanic vessel.
"It is an efficient and efficient vessel, with a reduced crew, whose maintenance cost is quite small".
The Acting Admiral of Maritime Action assures that, with this incorporation, Cartagena gains tonnage, since "since the 70s there are no ships of this size" in the Cartagena base.
Juan Luis Sobrino Pérez-Crespo claimed to have many personal and family ties with Cartagena.
"My parents were married in Cartagena, I have lived here for eight years, I have two children from Cartagena and my last name, Pérez-Crespo, is also very Cartagena," commented the Acting Admiral of Maritime Action.
The Vice Admiral of Maritime Action has already been able to see closely the ships installed at the base of Cartagena.
He is also informed about the activity of the General Headquarters of the Maritime Action Force, which is based in the city.
