This Tuesday, February 19, the Dońa Centenito Children's Library of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center had a very special visit.
The writer of La Palma, Mati Morata, presented her book 'El soldadito pelón que vancido al dragón' in an act presented by Jesús Juárez and which was attended by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez.
'The little soldier who beat the dragon' is the story in verse of the boy turned into a brave little soldier who, with courage and a brilliant and sonorous strategy (his laughter) defeats the evil dragon in which his illness becomes.

This is a story that aims to be a tool for those little heroes who fight each day their particular battle with the dragon of cancer.

The author is Mati Morata, the illustrations are by Alba Capilla and the educational applications of Emilia Morote, who pledge to collaborate with the donation of their benefits for the sale of this book to associations of children with cancer.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Mati Morata (La Palma, Cartagena) has a degree in Philosophy and Education Sciences from the University of Murcia and has been a professor of philosophy and ethics since 1989, since 1992 she works at the IES Felipe de Borbón de Ceutí.
His books have been published and read and used as pedagogical material, in many Educational Centers of Murcia, Valencia, Teruel, Bilbao, the European Schools of Brussels and even in Mexico, where two of them were awarded and selected to be part of the Libraries of classroom, on the part of the Secretariat of Education of Mexico, the equivalent organism to the Ministry of Education in Spain.
One of them was about Down Syndrome, and another about School Bullying.
