This Tuesday, February 19, in the facilities of the Military Government, has taken place the traditional donation of solidarity check that the Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment No. 73 and the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena carried out the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
The € 4,000 of the contribution is the result of including € 1 allocated for this purpose in the fee paid by the nearly four thousand participants officially registered in the XVII Cross of Artillery, held in Cartagena on Sunday, November 18, 2018.
The Chief Colonel of the mentioned Regiment, Carlos Javier Frías, and the Councilman of Sports, Manuel Mora, accompanied by Sandra García Pagán and Antonio Martínez Ardil in representation of the runners, delivered the donation to Nazarena Balaguer, Elena García and Jorge Conde, members of the Local Board of the AECC.
Nazarena Balaguer has highlighted the great work of the Cross of the Artillery, which carries out this action since 2008, also commenting that the total amount will be entirely devoted to the investigation of the fight against this disease.
For his part, Colonel Frias said that this sport is a healthy habit in which the whole family participates and from the Cross of the Artillery you want to encourage the start of the sport of children.
The organization of the Cross of the Artillery closes that which is related to its 2018 edition and is already working for the XVIII edition that this year advances the month of celebration and will take place next Sunday, October 27.
