La Bien Querida, Lokaflores and Fantabulosa will sing for equality in Cartagena.
With this objective, the + Q Musas Fest, music for equality and against violence against women is celebrated.
This music event, organized by the Department of Equality of the City of Cartagena in collaboration with the UPCT, is held on Saturday, March 9 at 9:30 p.m. in the Faculty of Business Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena - former CIM -
Admission costs one euro and the collection will go to the non-profit association Mujeres Unidas con el Maltrato (MUM).
The Councilor for Equality of the City of Cartagena, David Martinez, presented on Tuesday this event, accompanied by the Cartagena artist Lokaflores, the Vice Chancellor of Students, University Extension and Sports of the UPCT, Sergio Amat, and the Equality Officer of the UPCT , María José Lucas.
+ Q Musas Fest, is a cultural event that is consolidated after a successful first edition, and which is based on musical proposals prepared and interpreted by women in a key claim and conscience.
The musical Festival is framed within the activities developed by the City of Cartagena around the Women's Day on March 8.
As the mayor of the area of ​​Equality affirmed, "the objective of the event is to draw attention and to reclaim the creators whose work has been historically ignored despite its worth, for the simple fact of being women." In addition, the Councilor for Equality ensured that the + Q Musas Fest shows "the great artistic quality of the music of our country both emerging and consolidated".
+ Q Musas Fest will take place as the old CIM, which is the current Faculty of Business Sciences of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
The Vice Chancellor of Students of the UPCT, Sergio Amat, noted that from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena are very committed to the work of women.
"We have a very important activity in promoting the visibility of women.
For us it is important to attract new engineers, in fact we have a program 'I want to be an engineer' ".
In this edition will be the Bilbao Ana Fernandez - Villaverde artistically known as La Bien Querida, who will come to present his fifth album entitled "Fire" and has marked a point and separate in the career of Ana. Also will be present the artist Lokaflores Cartagena , whose first record project is being forged and will be released soon.
The local singer says that "Women's Day has to be every day.
That is why these callings and these very nice things arise.
Music I think is universal and what better than to gather artists to say: here we are all, here we are together ".
In addition, DJ Fantabulosa will perform, which handles a wide musical repertoire, from Los Planetas to Bowie through Yuck or Saint Ettiene.
The entry will have the symbolic cost of 1 euro that will be donated to the Association of United Women Against Mistreatment (MUM - http://asociacionmum.org).
They will go on sale starting Friday, February 22 through compralaentrada.com, the Soldadito de Plomo Cafeteria and at the box office of the event 1 hour before the event.
The first 200 entries that are withdrawn will be accompanied by a backpack.
+ Q Musas Fest is organized by the Department of Equality of the City of Cartagena.
For its celebration, it has funding from the Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Equality.
This musical event also has the support of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
The new edition of the festival "+ Q Musas Fest" will also have the collaboration of the company Cartagena Mediterranean Unique Experience, which will make the special tourist route "Illustrious Women of Cartagena" (Carmen Conde, Maria Dolores Bas, Santa Florentina, Sister Francisca Almendáriz, María Tomasa Antera or "la Charito") during the week of activities scheduled by the City of Cartagena and the Department of Equality on the occasion of Women's Day.
