This Thursday, February 21, at 20:00 in the Josefina Soria del Luzzy Library, continue the Feminist Thought Encounters in Cartagena. Think with the feminist activist Amelia Tiganus of feminicidio.net in an act presented by Mery Samperio, psychologist and sexologist.
On this occasion, and thanks to the collaboration of the Department of Culture and Equality, the guest will discuss the topic of permanent current 'Prostitution and Pornography: Commercial Sexual Violence'.
Feminicidio.net includes women murdered in prostitution in the annual statistics for sexist violence.
This platform indicates that, since 2010, 42 feminicides have been committed for prostitution, mainly murdered by their
customers.
Tiganus insists on the lack of visibility given to these data: "... Women's lives matter very little.
That of the whores, less.
Who is going to claim the body of a prostitute woman? "
According to his words "... Prostitution is always torture".
This and other statements refer to his intervention in the Conference on prostitution and trafficking in women held on February 9 in Lugo, and are included in the following article: 'Prostitution is always torture'
