Julia Martínez Fernández is PhD in Biology, Technical Director of the New Water Culture Foundation, where she coordinates the scientific-technical activity of the entity.
He has participated in some 25 national and international research projects, with special emphasis on the modeling of socio-ecological systems and their water dynamics, integrated water management in arid zones, the development of water sustainability indicators, integrated water management water in arid zones and the socio-economic and environmental interactions of systems related to water, particularly Mediterranean irrigation, coastal basins and lagoons and wetlands.
The results of his research experience have been presented in some 125 national and international congresses and in more than 130 scientific publications, which include articles in impact journals as well as national and international books and book chapters.
Julia Martínez teaches in the Master's Degree in Sustainable River Management and Integrated Water Management.
She is a member of the Water Council of the Demarcation of Segura and holds multiple conferences related to sustainable water management, among other activities. She is an associate professor at the Miguel Hernández University in Elche (Alicante) and environmental activist.
Currently working on the Smart project.
