The Cartagena author, Virginia Bernal, presented, on February 14, the exhibition 'A salvo de motillas', in the municipal hall of the Byzantine Wall.
The exhibition by the artist from Cartagena, with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Valencia, is based on memories.
According to the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez in the prologue of the catalog of the exhibition;
"It takes us to a world in which objects and images compose a series of scenarios that evoke the frames of those corners that we all have in our memory."
In this way, Virginia not only allows us to contemplate the pieces exhibited, but at the same time we are part of them when we associate these images with our own experience.
The plastic resources he uses for the realization of his works are acrylics on canvas, acrylics, watercolor and sculptural supports combined with photographic techniques such as cyanotype and rubber bichromate.
The visiting hours are from Tuesday to Friday (closed Monday), from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.
On Saturdays and Sundays, it can be visited from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
