The Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) joins the Chair of Sustainable Agriculture of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) to advise on the use of bioreactors with wood for the denitrification of brines in the field of Cartagena.
This is due to the interest of the CHS in improving the groundwater mass of the Cartagena field, which is in a poor chemical and quantitative state according to the current Hydrological Planning.
In addition, it will advise on obtaining the necessary authorizations for the investigation to be developed.
In turn, the CHS will advise on water quality and achieving environmental objectives.
All this will be done according to the lines of research established in the chair.
In fact, the Confederation may convene working groups of a technical nature in which representatives of all the units involved are present to analyze the information available and improve coordination.
The entrance of the CHS in the chair also contemplates its support so that students can carry out practices and cooperation in dissemination and social awareness activities.
This collaboration protocol will last four years, and may be extended.
