More than 100 teachers from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) have consolidated their positions as an official or labor since 2016. The UPCT today welcomed the act of recognition of teaching and research staff that has promoted at the University in recent years.
After this transformation, the Polytechnic currently has 81 professors, 195 holders of university and 58 contracted doctors.
The promotion of the teaching staff has been one of the objectives of the current Government Team, which has worked on it since 2016. Since that year, 48% of the University Professors and 31% of the University Professors have taken office. higher categories of teachers.
In the act the Rector Alejandro Díaz congratulated the professors.
"Everyone deserves this square for your value," he said.
Díaz has valued the tasks they carry out: teacher, researcher, innovator, entrepreneur, disseminator and manager.
The Vice Chancellor of Teaching and Teaching Innovation, Luis Javier Lozano, has highlighted: "it has been possible to unlock" the promotion of university professors who had obtained their accreditation by the ANECA (National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation), but not they had been able to take possession of the square so far due to restrictions in the offer of public employment.
For his part, the Rector has appealed to work for teaching quality and has reported that work is already underway to extend the next tutorial plan to all the UPCT centers and for the approval of a teaching quality model.
