Twelve singers from different parts of the country will compete today for a place in the Final of the VI Saetas National Competition, organized by the Portapasos Association of the Blessed Virgin of Mercy (Marrajos).
For this, tonight and tomorrow the Semifinals will take place, which will be held at La Casa del Folklore de La Palma, with free attendance until full capacity is reached.
Specifically, in the first Semifinal today will compete Jesús Moreno Pérez 'Moreno de la Isla', from San Fernando (Cádiz);
José Antonio Romero Pérez 'El perrito', from Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz);
Pepi Mantas, from Córdoba;
Jorge Bermejo Peralta, from Cáceres;
María Dolores Díaz Ferrer, from Cartagena;
and Miguel Ángel Lara 'El Canario', El Saucejo (Seville).
In the second Semifinal, which will take place tomorrow Saturday, will face 'Rocío La Serrano', from Seville;
María José Flores, from Paradas (Seville), Juana Iglesias Carmona, from Linares (Jaén): Antonio Casas Macias 'Antonio de Paqui', from Cádiz;
María Lucía Borreguero Leiva 'Lucía Leiva', from Montoro (Córdoba);
and Mari Ángeles Cruzado Garrido, from Moguer (Huelva).
The Final, which will be attended by 4 saeteros, will take place on March 30, at the Church of Santa María de Cartagena.
