The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, received at noon the members of the board of directors of the Procession of the Year Award, headed by its president, Santiago Díaz Izquierdo, on the occasion of the next failure of its 38th edition, on Monday, March 4.
The traditional interview with the mayor has aimed to specify various organizational aspects of the award, in which the City Council, since the mayor and councilors of the government participate in the jury and the award ceremony takes place in the Town Hall.
The presentation of candidacies is open until March 1 and delivery will take place on Friday, April 5.
The Processionist of the Year award, which highlights the continued work of men and women in the brotherhoods and groups of the Holy Week in Cartagena, is one of the three main distinctions that are given annually, along with that of the crier of Holy Week , that this year has fallen to Tomás Martínez Pagán, and the Nazarene mayor, to be elected soon by the Board of Brotherhoods.
