The Carnival of Cartagena will have its monument, which will be erected in one of the places through which its parades pass, as is the setting of the Plaza de España.
The Local Government Board met this morning under the chairmanship of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and has approved among other issues the authorization of a game of 15,000 euros for its realization.
Part of this budget will be paid by companies that have already expressed their intention to collaborate in this project, driven by the Carnival Federation itself.
The design of the monument has also been chosen by the Carnival Federation and represents a sphere with a carnival mask.
The intention is that it can open next Saturday, February 23, coinciding with the proclamation of the festivities, which this year will be borne by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.
