The residents of Los Mateos had the opportunity to meet this Wednesday, February 13, the new European intervention project in their neighborhood, during the meeting in which the mayor of Social Services, Mercedes Garcia, accompanied by several technicians of the Department, They explained the details of the Urbact call to which the City Council has opted.
This is a series of socio-community actions, which will not focus exclusively on Los Mateos but will also reach Santa Lucia, Lo Campano and Santiago Urbanization, in which meetings will soon be held to explain it.
In addition, it has a special impact on neighborhood collaboration, to encourage associations and involve neighbors in the evolution of the neighborhood.
The performance carried out in Los Mateos in the previous European call has been considered as one of the best among the other participating cities, so the Consistory has decided to continue working in this same neighborhood.
"We are very happy with the response we have obtained from the residents of the neighborhood who have come in a massive way to be interested in the project since they have also been very excited.
The main objective is to be involved in the immediate future of Los Mateos contributing to generate wealth and employability ", highlighted the councilor of area.
This new project is a new tool that the City Council has to continue the long-awaited development of Los Mateos.
