A metal structure 4 meters high in the shape of a heart pierced by an arrow and decorated with plant and flower, is being installed in the Plaza de los Héroes de Cavite and Santiago de Cuba, in front of the Town Hall, on the occasion of Valentine's Day.
This morning, February 13, plants have been placed around the metal structure and throughout the afternoon, until 6 pm, it will be adorned with brightly colored flowers.
The decoration of the heart will be ready for tomorrow, Thursday, Valentine's Day.
It is an initiative of the Parks and Gardens service of the Department of Public Services and Citizen Participation, directed by Juan Pedro Torralba, whose aim is to recover the participation of the gardens in events and commemorations, such as Valentine's Day , thus putting in value the landscaped urban spaces and transmitting the value of the vegetation in everyday life.
Couples who want to commemorate their day by taking a picture next to the metallic heart, may do so between Thursday 14 and Sunday 17 February.
According to the promoters of this idea, a way to put passion and sweetness in the public gardens of Cartagena.
