This coming Thursday, February 14, will take place the commemorative acts to mark the 130th anniversary of the UGT to be attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, along with the councilor for Culture, David Martínez.
It will be on the first floor of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, starting at 7:00 pm, with the opening of the exhibition '130 Years of Struggles and Conquests', which can be visited until February 28.
The exhibition reviews the main milestones and achievements of the union in its 130 years of life through a set of 14 historical panels and 6 thematic panels of 2 Ă— 3 meters.
Include from the first years of protests in the dictatorship of Primo de Rivera, the time of the Second Republic, the Civil War, the exile during the Franco dictatorship, until the arrival of democracy and the legalization of UGT when the union becomes the first union force.
Finally, the exhibition ends with the current scenario, with the new challenges and challenges of the union as the recovery of labor rights lost due to the economic crisis.
All this will be accompanied by the screening of two commemorative videos in which special mention will be made of the historical members of the UGT.
