WHY THE NEED FOR THESE DAYS?
We know that sudden death is a dramatic and unexpected episode, which in Spain produces more than 30,000 a year;
Of these, most occur in the extra-hospital setting.
The formation of the citizen in this matter is the fundamental pillar;
An affordable and future way is to incorporate this training in the school within the student's school curriculum.
During this Conference teachers with knowledge in Basic Life Support (BLS) and use of DEA will be trained and trained to develop the Teaching Unit that they must apply later in their Educational Center.
These Days will have their final application in 12 schools of the municipality of Cartagena that thanks to the project Cartagena Cardio-protected city have DEA in their facilities.
The 6th grade students of these schools will be the first to receive the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for the realization of basic Life Support.
The ultimate goal is to achieve in a short period of time that all school children in the Region acquire during their school stage the knowledge and skills required for the realization of these techniques.
