The Board of Local Government, meeting this afternoon with extraordinary character, under the presidency of the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has approved the extension of the agreement with the Cartagena Futsal team.
The agreement, which is extended for one more year, includes a municipal subsidy to the club of 100 thousand euros.
The Governing Board has also approved another collaboration agreement between the Department of Social Services and the club to re-grant to 35 minors at risk of social exclusion to participate in the sports schools of the futsal team, within the anti-rumor program of the La Caixa Foundation.
In another vein, the Governing Board has approved a budget amendment amounting to about 107 thousand euros for the completion of the infrastructure improvement works of the municipal athletics track and the social premises in El Llano del Beal.
Finally, among other issues, the Governing Board has approved, as announced by the mayor a few days ago, the award of eight municipal housing, in accordance with the municipal register of social housing claimants.
The allocation of these homes to families in need is done on a rental basis.
