This Wednesday, February 6, the annual results of the Observatory of Culture, corresponding to the end of 2018, made by the Contemporary Foundation, where a report on the highlights of culture by communities was published.
Once again, La Mar de Músicas, a festival organized by the City of Cartagena, has been chosen as the best cultural event in the Region of Murcia, with the Cartagena Jazz Festival in fourth place, after the San Javier Jazz Festival and programming of the Circus Theater of Murcia.
"Since the report was made, La Mar de Músicas has been chosen as the most important cultural event held in the Region of Murcia.
Cartagena is the cultural capital of the Region of Murcia, and the various awards and recognitions that we receive with our festivals and programming so credited "has highlighted the Councilor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez Noguera, after hearing the report.
Since 2009, Fundación Contemporánea conducts an annual consultation to develop a series of indicators related to different areas of culture.
The cultural activity of the different autonomous communities and cities, the most outstanding cultural institutions and events of the year and the annual evolution of culture budgets.
For this, a questionnaire is sent to a panel of experts formed by more than a thousand professionals of the highest level of our culture: writers, artists, directors and actors, musicians, architects and creators of all fields;
responsible for foundations, museum directors, cultural centers and institutions;
publishers, producers, promoters, gallery owners and cultural industries managers;
curators of exhibitions, cultural managers and professionals of the sector, as well as responsible for cultural areas and institutions of the central, autonomous and municipal public administration.
This new edition of the Observatory of Culture has had the participation of 336 members of the panel, who have completed the questionnaire between the months of December 2018 and January 2019. Created by La Fábrica in 2008, its mission is to contribute to professional development of the cultural sector in Spain, for which it develops activities of encounter, formation, debate, analysis and support to entrepreneurs.
