The Popular University of the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, received on Wednesday, February 6, the visit of the director of the SER Chain, Antonio Rosa, who gave a talk on Language Arts and Journalism to the students of the Bazar de las Letras.
Taking advantage of her experience in the world of radio, Rosa made the participants reflect on what the role of the media in today's society should be, in this stage of absolute reconversion.
The Director of Cadena SER also explained some of the processes of journalistic work, such as triple verification, the difference between news and opinion article, the parts of the news and the importance of truthfulness.
Antonio Rosa was accompanied by the Director of the Popular University, José Macián, who stressed the importance of having reference media and professionals like Rosa.
Within the program of the Bazaar of Letters, this second trimester is dedicated monographically to languages, tools of communication between people.
In the weekly sessions of the Literary Workshop of the UP, which take place in La Palma, Barrio Peral and, in the morning and afternoon, at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center taught by Isabel Hernández, attendees are getting to know and analyzing the dozens of languages ​​used in advertising, television, radio, politics and, of course, literature.
Antonio Rosa Guerrero is a Bachelor of Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid.
He started at Cadena SER in 1983, at the age of 16, as a collaborator at SER Marbella, the city where he lived since his birth.
All his professional career has been carried out in the SER, where he was the producer of "Cita a las cinco", with Pepe Domingo Castaño, and intervened, from the Delegation of the SER in Marbella, in all the programs of the chain of the time: "Onda Media, here the SER" with Iñaki Gabilondo, Joaquín Prat and Pepe Domingo Castaño, "When the night comes", "La Gran Movida", and "El Gran Musical" with José Antonio Abellán and others.
He has also been Delegate of the SER in Fuengirola, Director of SER Subbética in Cabra (Córdoba), Director of Radio Lorca and Radio Ceuta and since 2011 he is Director of Radio Cartagena, to which he has added the direction of Radio Lorca since 2013.
In the 80s he combined his work on the radio with collaborations with the newspapers SUR, La Tribuna de Marbella and El Diario de la Costa del Sol, as well as the correspondence of the Agencia Efe in Marbella, the magazines ¡Hola!
and Parallel 36 and production and music management (Diplomatic Corps) as well as collaborations in the production of tours and concerts (among them, Michael Jackson's in Marbella in 1988).
