The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Education, Mercedes García, held yesterday, Monday, February 4, a meeting with the delegates of the different courses that make up the University of the UPCT to collect their proposals and initiatives for this 2019-2020 course.
The mayor was grateful for the work that the University of the Elderly develops in the municipality and said she was "proud to have an institution that does so much for our elders, but if I'm sincere I'm even more proud of the students who do the university is what it is and has become such a big thing. "
The delegates, among which was the exconcejal of Culture, José Martínez, requested the collaboration of the City Council to carry out various activities aimed at facilitating greater knowledge of the history and corners of our municipality and offered to collaborate in events like the Night of the Museums.
The mayor said that "from this City Council we will always do everything in our power to help you" and thanked José Martínez "the great work you have done and continue to do for Cartagena, now from the University of the Elderly".
