The School of Hospitality and Tourism of Cartagena celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and wants to celebrate it with haute cuisine, with a Gastro Educación-Gastro Levante conference, which will take place tomorrow, February 5, at the El Batel Auditorium. It is an event in which, in addition to tasting numerous dishes, there will be presentations, lectures and showcooking taught by Cartagena chefs and four Michelin stars. The television cook María Dolores Baró will be in charge of presenting this culinary day at 9.00.
The program will begin with María Gómez and Adrián de Marcos, from Magoga Cartagena, who will talk about 'Cartagena Gastronomic Port'.
There will also be a presentation on the Euro-Toques scholarships, by its president, Juan Regis. Between 10.10 and 12.15, the teachers at the Maralba restaurants, in Almansa (2 stars), Cabaña Buenavista, in Murcia (2 stars) and the Domaine de Châteavieux, in Switzerland (2 stars) will teach master class on avant-garde cuisine. At 1:00 pm, the master chocolatier of La Gloria Confectionery, at Palmar, Andrés Mármol, and, the confectioner from the Busquets confectionery, in Cabo de Palos, Marcos de la Fuente, will talk about chocolate. The final presentation will be given by the Michelin star of Alicante, Monastrell restaurant, María José San Ramón, at 13:45, with rice as an ingredient principal.
