The citizenship can choose from today the name of a scientific woman that will be recorded next February 11, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, on the facade of the R + D + i building of the Polytechnic University from Cartagena.
The UPCT has opened a vote through its website so that science lovers can decide among four outstanding women of great scientific relevance: Rosalind Franklin, Rita Levi-Montalcini, Maria Goeppert-Mayer and Irène Joliot-Curie.
The United Nations supports women in this International Day and promotes women's and girls' access to education, training and research in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, as well as their participation in those activities, at all levels.
It is the second year that the UPCT carries out this initiative, in 2018 the winner was Hypatia after receiving 487 votes.
More than 1000 people participated in this voting.
The voting period will end at 23:59 on the night of Sunday, February 10.
On February 11, the name will be recorded on the facade of the R + D + i building of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
