- Orange training assumes that the legislature will end without a plan to boost retail, "MC and PSOE have lost four years in political battles and have neglected the sector"
Cartagena, Wednesday, January 30.
Citizens urged the local Executive to present in the next few days a true draft of the Commercial Revitalization Plan, "in which they handed us over, only all the contributions of groups and political groups were flipped, neither analysis nor investment plan existed, only one untidy jumble of ideas without digesting that does not trace the way forward, something that is more typical of a storm of ideas not professional prior to writing that a serious plan, "said today the spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padin.
"We have gone from a plagiarism of the PP of Palencia to an orgy of titles of proposals without order or concert", laments Manuel Padín.
"The creation of a commercial brand and a website is welcome, so much so that it was one of the proposals of Citizens but does not belong to any commercial plan that has obtained political and technical consensus," says Manuel Padín who says that "the PSOE has not This measure is framed in the Plan because it has none, in fact, we proposed in the mock draft the creation of a true digital platform and applications for mobile to give visibility to small commerce, "the website of the commercial area of Cartagena that has announced should include in addition to all the relevant information of our shops and for our shops (news of interest on the trade, advice aids, maps with geolocation), a database with a census of empty premises so that potential entrepreneurs can consult easily these business opportunities among other things, "explains the spokesman.
"It is a fact that neither MC nor PSOE have been able to carry out a plan for our small businesses, they have lost four years in sterile political battles and have neglected the sector," says Manuel Padín.
Business priorities
The orange training highlights the need to perform an analysis of the current situation of trade in Cartagena, including a study of commercial spaces that distinguish areas of high commercial density that need a boost, "it is planning the desirable territorial balance of the commercial distribution in the municipality and identify the so-called commercial gaps to act with determination before the closure of businesses in the same urban area, "says Padín.
For Cs, it is also key to add permanent and updated indicators on shopping trends and habits among cruise passengers, international, national and regional tourists, and Cartagena residents.
The orange training also proposes the updating and development of some ordinances that are not contemplated in the draft of the trade plan, such as the one that regulates the public ornamentation that does not exist in Cartagena, the one of labels of 1994 or that of outdoor advertising that is of 1988 and only regulates signage.
On the other hand, Cs requires the promotion of foreign and internal promotion of trade and the need to develop a strategy with the Port Authority and Port of Cultures to encourage consumption "among the thousands of cruise passengers who visit us every year," reports Padín.
On the other hand, Cs considers it imperative to promote, increase and improve the insertions and communication campaigns in the media, (traditional and digital), aimed at a national, international and regional target.
Agreements of pending Cs
The Week of Small Commerce, the preparation of the candidacy of Cartagena as the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy, the shock plan for the recovery of the Gisbert Market, or the project to guarantee the generational replacement of our traditional businesses, among the plenary agreements promoted by Cs that are still pending execution.
Other 'orange' agreements that directly affect the health of small businesses in Cartagena - Manuel Padín recalls - are the shadow plan in public spaces, the increase in public sources of drinking water, the installation of public urinals, the installation of areas free wifi and solar chargers, the review and optimization of collective transport services, urban art in free spaces, the rationalization and schedule of the garbage container system, or the improvement of accessibility ... "Make no mistake, we can do all the plans that we want but if we do not have an attractive, safe, friendly, clean and connected city, the small commerce will remain stagnant under minimums ", warns Manuel Padín.
Business Intelligence
Citizens understands that in addition to professional advice and the implementation of new technologies in shops it would be useful to provide municipal technicians with tools and spaces to receive up-to-date and specialized information on matters that affect or directly or indirectly affect small businesses;
regulations, subsidies, updated management models, promotion mechanisms, application procedures for regional, state and European aid, or new funding channels.
"It is, from our perspective, to promote commercial intelligence, improving communication channels between merchants and the City through the exchange of periodic information (monthly bulletins with news of interest, good practices, legislation and updated regulations, conducting explanatory days ), and everything channeled through the Local Trade Council ", explained Manuel Padín.
