MC Cartagena will demand at the next Plenary the restitution of the specialized groups of vertical and underwater rescue, dependent on the Fire Department and the Department of Public Safety, given the high number of mine shafts without protection walls that are in the municipality.
In this sense, the councilor of the formation Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, has indicated that "as a result of the latest events and events occurred around accidents and falls in wells, our municipal group considers necessary, and even essential, to resume within the Body of Firemen these specialized groups of rescue, that disappeared four years ago without apparent justified reason ".
Also, the mayor recalled that the municipality of Cartagena has a wide stretch of coastline with cliffs and a large number of wells, some of them with five hundred meters deep.
MC returns to be interested in the advances in the services of La Manga
On the other hand, MC will be interested again, also in the next plenary session, for the advances in the necessary improvements demanded by the residents of La Manga.
Specifically, Segado will ask about the status of the municipal claim to the Autonomous Community of the optimization of the bus service between La Manga and
Cartagena, as well as the interurban, as unanimously approved at the request of the Cartagena training in September 2017.
Influencing the issue of transport, the mayor will question whether the bus connection between the Corvera airport and La Manga has been required, as well as with other coastal towns such as Los Urrutias, Los Nietos, Mar de Cristal or La Azohía.
