Recently, the MC Cartagena councilor, Ricardo Segado, visited Los Dolores, Hispano-America neighborhood and El Bohío to see firsthand the actions and improvements carried out thanks to the initiatives of the Cartagena training.
During the tour, the mayor was accompanied by the MC representative in the Los Dolores Neighborhood Board, Rafael Rodríguez.
Installation of traffic lights at a dangerous junction in the Hispano-America neighborhood
In the first place, Segado and Rodríguez checked the installation of three traffic lights at the intersection of San Juan Bosco and José García Sánchez streets, "project approved by MC proposal, despite the obstacles of the PSOE, which is now trying to score the goal" , the mayor has pointed.
"This was a matter of first necessity that both the neighbors and all the people who pass through this route have been grateful," said Ricardo Segado, "since it was a high-risk crossing for drivers and pedestrians, with a mirror as the only reference to be able to cross from one side to another ".
Conditioning of the Ángel Valverde plaza and signage in the Camino del Sifón
On the other hand, one of the most demanded projects during the entire legislature, the remodeling of the Plaza Angel Valverde, has completed its conditioning.
Specifically, some biosaludables apparatuses have been installed for outdoor exercise, as well as the set-up of the source.
However, the cartagenerista vocalist, Rafael Rodríguez, will question in the next neighborhood plenary session for the reasons that led to the change of the edges of the trees just two weeks after the completion of the works.
In the same way, after Rodríguez's requests, the signage has been recently installed on the Camino del Sifón, at the height of the Casas del Retiro, with the aim of improving the road safety of pedestrians and vehicles.
It should be recalled that on June 28, MC requested that a technical study and the drafting of a comprehensive project of the aforementioned point be made, urging the placement of reflective signs or the placement of aerial light points.
