The Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Esperanza Moreno, presented today in Cartagena, with the presence of 1,400 students from different educational stages of the Region of Murcia, the project 'GD Museums'.
An innovation project coordinated by the Alcántara de Alcantarilla Institute, in which six other educational centers have participated and which has involved more than 80 teachers.
The centers that have participated are the Los Molinos de Cartagena and Federico Balart de Pliego institutes, as well as the schools Majal Blanco de Santomera, José María de Lapuerta de Cartagena, and Jara Carrillo and Las Tejeras, both of Alcantarilla.
GD Museums, explained Moreno, "allows the centers to put into practice new learning methodologies in order to create teaching materials for various museums located in the Region of Murcia, local, regional and national," and which are the Museum of the Huerta de Alcantarilla, the ARQUA of Cartagena and those located in Murcia: Museum of Science and Water, Museum of the City, Museum of Santa Clara and Archaeological Museum.
The project incorporates 'Intercentros' meetings in different museums of the Region in which the educational materials created by the students will be exchanged.
In this way, teachers put innovative methodologies into practice jointly with other professors, providing the process of methodological change implemented in a multiplier effect.
The information related to the project, as well as the material generated in it, is available at the link gd.iesalcantara.es.
