The International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Ifema, Madrid, starts on Wednesday, January 23rd.
This tourist fair will be held until Sunday, January 27.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, attends FITUR with the Tourism Department to promote the La Mar de Músicas Festival, the Carnival Draq Queen Gala, the hiking routes and the diving areas at the Murcia Region. , Holy Week, and, the Carthaginians and Romans, among others to attract new tourists.
Related to the La Mar de Músicas Festival, the guest country and the poster of this year will be announced for the first time, in which the 25th anniversary of this festival is celebrated.
Another of the activities that will be promoted is the Drag-Queen National Contest "Ciudad de Cartagena" with something "surprising, attractive and that will not leave anyone indifferent", as announced by the Mayor of Cartagena at the presentation of the programming of activities that were going to take to FITUR.
As a novelty, at 3:00 pm, Ana Belén Castejón will attend the Turespaña stand, one of the most important of the fair at a national and international level, to promote the potential of Cartagena.
The city has been absent from this stand for several years.
In addition, the gastronomy of Cartagena will have a prominent role in this tourism fair.
Attendees can taste local products such as explorers, cheeses from La Yerbera, wines from Viña Galtea or Asian coffee.
On the other hand, this Thursday, January 24, at 15:30 hours the mayor of Cartagena along with other riverside councils will promote the tourism of the Mar Menor as a preferred tourist destination of sun and beach and a natural enclave for the practice of sports nautical.
