Students who participate in one of the three categories can win scholarships to study Nursing, Physical Therapy or Physical Activity and Sports Sciences at the Catholic University in Cartagena, as well as a Tablet, a Sportcam camera or sports equipment.
The Catholic University San Antonio has just opened the registration period for students of 1st and 2nd year of Bachiller or last year of Vocational Training of Higher Level of educational centers of the Region can participate in the second edition of the Scientific Olympics in its Los Dolores campus, after the success obtained last year with the first ones.
This event will be held on Wednesday, February 6 and co-financed by the Seneca Foundation.
Interested students may participate in three categories: Sports, Nursing and Physiotherapy.
For each of these categories there will be three prizes.
The first qualifier that exceeds the grade of 8 will receive the free registration of the first course of the University Degree related to the selected Olympiad and a Tablet;
the second classified (with a grade higher than 7.5) 50% of the enrollment of the first year of said degree and a SportCam camera;
and the third classified (who gets in the tests at least a 7) a 25% of the enrollment of the first course of the race related to the area of ​​the tests he performs in this competition and sports equipment.
The UCAM will facilitate the displacement in buses to the students of the institutes of Cartagena, La Unión, Mazarrón, Fuente Álamo, Torre Pacheco, Los Alcázares, San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier that register before January 28.
In case of students who will attend by their means, they can register until February 4.

In this way, the UCAM, through the Unit of Scientific Culture and Research of the Catholic University (UCC + i), framed in the Vice-Rectorate of Research, and the Seneca Foundation-Agency of Science and Technology of the Region of Murcia, dependent on the Ministry of Universities of the Autonomous Community, want to promote the scientific spirit among young people in the Region, with special attention in the nine municipalities of the District of Cartagena and specifically in the Degree of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences together to the two health careers of the Los Dolores Campus.
The Olympiad in the Nursing category will include an English test, a biology test and a practical test;
while the CAFD will consist of an English test, another of anatomy and physiology related to sport along with a test of Physical Education;
being the Physiotherapy Olympiad a test of English, one of anatomy, another of biology and another of physiology.
