For CTSSP-PODEMOS, the Government resorts to all judicial rulings, except those that it has to appeal, that is, those that go against the general interest of the residents of Cartagena

More than 5 million euros, about one million a year, will go down the drain to pay for the urban outrages of the successive PP governments, excesses to the detriment of the public coffers that were endorsed and perpetrated also by high municipal officials, such as the always omnipresent General Director of Urbanism of the City Council: besides the case of the Vivero de la Manga, there is the failure of the General Plan, the Urbanization Buenos Aires, Casco Antiguo SA or the lands of the former barracks of the Civil Guard of La Azohía, to cite only some (all of them to the detriment of the City Council).

CTSSP-PODEMOS has criticized that the socialist government, as the case may be, and above all whose economic interests are at stake, resorting to judicial rulings to the point of exhaustion (as with the General Plan) or pay without question to the last cent demanded by the landowners and big promoters of Cartagena.

But the most serious thing is not that, but all the people of Cartagena pay for decades the consequences of urban corruption and ineptitude, but no one asks for responsibility to those who brought us to this situation: it is inconceivable in any democratic State that, after successive judicial setbacks and the economic bleeding in urban matters, the Government itself has not dismissed a single high official nor taken to the courts the bad management of politicians, which is what any decent government would do in the general interest.

The purple formation has also announced that it will ask in the next Plenary how the Government plans to face the next adverse judicial sentences that are approaching, according to municipal sources recently confirmed to La Verdad2E PODEMOS is interested in knowing: How much money are we talking about?

Why agreements and based on what breaches?

Will everything be paid again without recourse?

Who will respond technically and politically for this?

Finally, the municipal group of PODEMOS has considered it shameful that the PSOE is shied away in that these sentences are part of the inheritance received, when the truth is that it has not modified even a comma of the urban policy of the PP, has kept with impunity to its ideologists in their posts, has continued with the bubble and speculation, meets secretly with the big promoters and continues to give free rein to the same irrationality that brought us to where we are: hotels and new moles in Los Urrutias, or elite complexes on the beach of Lirio or Playa Paraíso, are some of the sad examples that prove that the PSOE has continued without deviations the path traced by Pilar Barreiro.

Finally, Pilar Marcos, spokesman for the municipal group, has insisted that "the urban corruption in Cartagena is getting more and more expensive, that nobody has paid for it except the people of Cartagena, that those millions are the works that are missing in neighborhoods and councils and that it is urgent to end speculative urbanism, an irrationality that has only served to destroy the environment and enrich a handful of big businessmen friends of political power ".
