With the sizing of the applicants, this morning the selection process has started to cover 21 free-shift positions of the Local Police of the City of Cartagena.
In batches of about one hundred each, the 382 people admitted have been summoned after ten o'clock in the facilities of the Municipal Covered Swimming Pool.
To continue in the call the men had to overcome a size of 170 centimeters and women, of 165 centimeters.
Although the concrete data will be made known through the Public Employment section of the municipal website, it was estimated that around 10 percent of those summoned did not attend and that almost all of the attendees met the requirements of height .
Those who have overcome, will be called again in a few days to perform physical tests, eliminatory;
then they must take a written theoretical test of development and another type of test, as well as an oral examination.
The process will conclude with a psychometric test and a medical examination.
From there, the selected students will begin a period of training at the police academy, which includes practices on the street.
As explained by the Councilor for Citizen Security and Human Resources, Manuel Mora, it is expected that in three or four months this selective process can be solved, and that at the beginning of summer the aspirants can already carry out their first practices.
Mora also explained that although the call was initially 15 free-time and four mobile, then they increased to 21 free-turn, by adding new vacancies;
not discarding the possibility that it is more at the time of resolving the process, as a consequence of the entry into force of the ministerial decree that advances the retirement age of the agents under certain conditions.
However he also recalled that the public employment offer of 2018 already includes a new call for 30 local police officers.
