Cs Cartagena requests its regional deputies to list and invest the actions planned for 2019
The Air Conditioning Plan 2018/2020 in which the Autonomous Community invests 18.5 million euros has the objective of regulating temperatures in those colleges and institutes where necessary.
The spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, claims to have well-founded reasons to think that the action plan is discriminating against the educational centers of Cartagena, "therefore, we are going to ask for the list of actions that will be carried out this year through of our colleagues in the Regional Assembly. "
Manuel Padín recalls that this plan was promoted by Citizens, and argues that there is "a clear inequality of treatment to distribute the actions among the municipalities with a charge of 5 million euros reserved in 2017 and six million in 2018 and 2019."
According to information available to the orange training, in 2017 only the CEIP San Ginés de la Jara benefited and in 2018 only the IES Isaac Peral, while in the municipality of Murcia air conditioning activities were carried out in seven schools during those two years , "neither by population nor by any other variable can this difference be justified, when there are also schools in an extreme situation", says Manuel Padín, who in this sense, as La Opinion reports today, gives the example of the 70 students of Infant Education of the public school Beethoven of New Cartagena that have to support during these days temperatures of eleven degrees, and in summer the heat for the bad design of the building.
Manuel Padín recalls the need and the legal obligation to adapt the educational centers to the climatic characteristics of the Region, "it is not admissible that during the worst months there are children with lipothymias due to the intense heat, that the students can not take off their coat for the low temperatures, or that there is not a single shadow band in the courtyards and we do not understand that with an expenditure forecast of eleven million euros, only two Cartagena centers have seen these adaptation works ".
As for the investment reserved for this year, and as reported a few days ago by the newspaper La Verdad, there is only 100,000 euros for Cartagena and it is expected to reach a score of centers, "we think a pyrrhic amount considering that there are six million of euros to spend this year, something that is not doing well and we want to know what it is, and correct it. "
Regional and Municipal Shadow Plan
Citizens also denounces that both the shadow plan of the Community and the one that the City Council should carry out, "are a fiasco, an empty promise of the political authorities", explains Manuel Padín who recalls that the regional plan was intended to reach 25 schools but " since 2017 there have only been performances in two centers in Lorca and one in Archena, Murcia and Cehegín, again they forget that the municipality of Cartagena exists ".
Finally, Citizens remember for the umpteenth time that the Government of the PSOE in Cartagena have pending implementation of the plenary agreement promoted by the orange training that requires the implementation of a municipal shadow plan for the most popular public spaces for parks children's playgrounds and the playgrounds of municipal schools.
