Numerous public gathered on Thursday, January 17, in the room of the Molina Palace of the City of Cartagena, to participate in the inauguration of the exhibition of the municipal collection of the esoteric work of Cartagena painter Nicomedes Gómez.
The event was attended by the Councilor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, along with other members of the Municipal Corporation.
The singular esoteric work of Nicomedes Gómez gathers and shares the same compositional concept, a structure that functions as the appropriate tool to achieve the intellectual objectives that the author intended to capture.
By analyzing the factors that participate in the archetypal composition of Nicomedes' work, a series of data can be obtained that help to know its intrinsic structure.
The artist repeats in all his work a very defined center of interest, whether human figures, stars, suns or crosses.
Objects of simple shapes or very recognizable figures that are configured around a center, with obvious structural component.
The exhibition can be visited from Thursday, January 17 until Sunday, March 31.
The visiting hours will be: from Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm in the morning.
In the afternoon, it will open at 5:00 pm and close at 8:00 pm.
On Saturdays and Sundays, the exhibition will be open to the public from 11 am to 2 pm.
On Mondays the exhibition will be closed.
