This Wednesday, January 16, the exhibition of the finalist children's drawings of the second edition of the "Trinidad García" children's drawing and mural competition, whose theme is "Our Field", has been inaugurated.
In this sample, the 50 selected and winning works can be contemplated among the more than 1,400 drawings and murals presented in the second edition, 2017-2018 of primary education students from a total of 30 participating schools in the municipalities of Cartagena and Fuente Álamo.
The presentation ceremony will be held at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center in Cartagena with the presence of Mercedes García Gómez, Councilor for the Education Department of the City of Cartagena, and Ginesa García Conesa, President of the Association of Neighbors of La Magdalena.
This contest is promoted on the initiative of the Neighborhood Association of La Magdalena, with the necessary collaboration of the Department of Education of the participating municipalities, the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, the Municipal Neighborhood Board of Molinos Marfagones, the Association of Friends of the Arts Plásticas Pigmentos and the company Miguel Ángel Bellas Artes and has among several objectives to facilitate that the children have the opportunity to express through the plastic expression their vision on different aspects and human, natural, landscape and cultural values ​​of "Our Field" and endow to the interested teachers of a tool to work in the classroom the importance that the field has in our lives.
The Exhibition at the Luzzy can be visited until January 30.
The third edition is already underway and was presented at the Consistorial Palace in Cartagena last December.
This year with the aspiration of the contest to continue expanding to the participation of the municipalities that make up the natural region of the field of Cartagena has been extended to another neighboring municipality: The Union, which adds to it.
