On Tuesday, January 15, workshops open to citizens will begin to participate in the development of the New General Urban Plan of Cartagena.
The meeting in which all the neighbors who may wish to participate will take place in the Canteras social premises from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The only requirement is to register in advance by sending an email to participa.plangeneral@upct.es
The initiative is part of the "You think the Cartagena of tomorrow" program of the Cartagena Piensa program, which was presented this morning.
As you remember the City of Cartagena has launched a participatory process to think and plan the municipality you want and need for the coming decades, from the preparation of the documents for the revision of the PGOU.
The residents of Cartagena can participate in these workshops, which will address issues related to mobility, infrastructure, the environment, equipment or sustainability, among others.
The workshops will be held in different public places and each will be developed in two days: the first, dedicated to information, recognition and analysis and the second, to the proposals.
Workshops have been organized in four locations spread throughout the municipal territory:
Social Site of the Neighborhood Association of Quarries (January 15 and February 12 from 19-21h)
Youth Resource Center of Cartagena (together with the regional assembly) (January 22 and February 19 from 19-21h)
Local Social Los Belones (January 29 and February 26 from 19-21h)
Pozo Estrecho Civic Center (February 5 and March 5 from 7-21pm)
For a better functioning of the workshops, it is necessary to register in advance and attend both days (analysis and proposals) at the chosen location.
Child care and entertainment service will be available to facilitate family conciliation in those days in which the need to have it previously had been indicated.
THE PROGRESS PROCESS
With a view to the revision of the Progress of the General Plan for Urban Planning, several parallel actions are being carried out, such as: the drafting of the Advance document of the General Plan;
the drafting of the Initial Strategic document for the revision of the General Plan of Urban Planning;
and the Citizen Participation program, which includes workshops open to the public.
Also within this participatory program, workshops are planned with representatives of entities and associations;
municipal technicians and municipal political groups;
as well as interviews to a panel of experts, formed mainly by prestigious specialists from the UPCT, the UM and other public administrations.
